Emily
Emily Runnels, MS, LPC Associate, supervisor Jenee Duzsa, LPCS
I don’t consider myself the average therapist. Yes I have the same training and education, but I show up differently in session. I try to bring a “realness” that comes from experience in some of the same things you’re struggling with.
I specialize in stress and anxiety, depression, family dynamics, relationships, life transitions, codependency, and sexual intimacy issues. Having grown up in a family of six kids, I’ve focused on getting specific training to work with families and couples, with an emphasis on family of origin trauma. Before my time as a therapist, I worked at camp for individuals with disabilities, and developed a special care for those struggling. I’m a licensed professional counselor associate, supervised by Jenee Dusza, LPC-S.
I love helping teens and adults make sense of their mental health, and guide them through transitions. Let’s face it, school, friendships, and family can have their own challenges, and sometimes having someone to help you walk through it makes all the difference. I also specialize in helping women navigate rebuilding relationship safety after sexual assault, narcissistic abuse, or other forms of relational trauma.
